How To Get Related Google Adsense Ads?

I’ve been struggling to get related Google Adsense ads…

That used to be one of my problems.
When I started to monetize my blogs with Google Adsense, I used to have a hard time to get related ads.
I’m sure this sounds familiar to you, doesn’t it? I love to use Blogger because setting up a blog just takes 5 minutes. For some reasons, when I started to blog, it took me ages to get related Google Adsense ads. Or even worse, sometimes I would just get the public ads… And we all know that those ads don’t payout well.

So if you are struggling with this, read carefully the following paragraphs. Now for those who don’t have a problem with this, I’ve got a little trick for you as well to improve your earnings/click. First of all, the golden rule that you need to follow: to get related Google Adsense ads, you need to write a nice descent amount of content related to your main keyword. So let’s say your post is about “seo services”, you also want to have your Google Adsense ads related to that same keyword (= seo services).  Or at least you would like to have ads related to seo rather instead of “how to make money online” or “online casino” ads. So to come back to what I just said, repeat some keywords related to your main keyword. A good way how to find related keywords is by using the Google Keyword Tool, Google Related Searches (more info on that later) or my favourite Brad Callen’s Keyword Elite.

Although this is pretty obvious for most of us online marketers or blogers, this information is crucial for beginners. So that’s the first thing you need to do to get related ads.
Another trick to get even better related ads is by uploading a robots.txt file to your site’s root folder. This trick can’t be used if you only use Blogger.
What’s robots.txt? This is a file that you will need to create with notepad. This file allows you to give the webspiders (= bots crawling on your website) orders. The list of possibilities is pretty long, but use the following code to let the crawlers know what to crawl exactly:

Users-agent: Mediapartners-Google
Disallow:

that’s it, save this as “robots.txt” and upload this file on the root of your website folder. The reason why you need to leave the disallow code blank, is to give the mediapartners-google the rights to search your entire blog. As a results you will get more related ads to your content.

And finally, here’s my latest trick to track more related Google Adsense ads. There is a script that you can use in between a certain part of your content. Let’s say you have written 4 big paragraphs on cars. But paragraph 3 is more related on car parts and you would like to have ads containing car parts… Without using the following script, you would most likely get a broad amount of ads on cars, but necessarily on car parts. So to fix this, you need to insert this code before the chosen paragraph:

let’s pretend this is the part of your post that you would like to stress out to the google ad bots. You just need to insert this code. But don’t forget to finish the particular chosen part of your content by the following code.
